I’m a twenty-something female getting through life thanks to great family, fabulous friends, a devout faith, addiction to great music, and a fondness for delicious beer and exceptional vino. I believe in passion, tenacity and good books. I love sports besides the fact that I am a girl, and adore great fashion despite not being able to afford it. I survive by running more miles than is considered sane, and am illicitly involved in a 16+ year love affair with running. The South will always be home, sweet tea and mint juleps a right of passage, and the SEC the best conference in football.
My youth still lends itself to my idealism. My idea of peace is greeting the sun during a morning row on still water, completely breathless, muscles burning and exhausted. In the stillness only broken by the sound of oars cutting through water, I see God.
Life is hard and its challenges can instill both fear and inspiration, but I live and love according to the philosophy that there is a plan bigger than myself. I ascribe to the beliefs that everything happens for a reason, God has a terrific sense of humor, and when it comes down to it – the heart of life is good (sometimes we just have to look really hard to see it).
And actually… I really do enjoy long walks on the beach.
